VU4R Preparatory Trip & 49th SEANET Convention Updates

Dear All,

I am writing to share details regarding my upcoming preparatory trip for the VU4 DXpedition and the 49th SEANET Convention in Port Blair. This convention, held from December 18th to 20th, marks the first time in SEANET history that the event will take place there. The full DXpedition is scheduled for December 17th to 30th.

During my preparatory trip from July 22nd to July 27th, 2026, I will be operating under the special callsign VU4R. I will also be participating in the RSGB IOTA Contest from Port Blair. This single-operator operation aims to provide chasers with an ATNO (All Time New One), primarily using SSB on the 40M through 10M bands. My setup will include an Icom 7300, a 400-watt amplifier, and a vertical antenna.
