Project Roadmap
Foundation & Site Prep
Initial mission to Port Blair for critical infrastructure setup. This phase focus:
- RSGB IOTA Contest: Activation from Port Blair to test equipment and propagation.
- Logistics Planning: Finalizing hotel contracts and local transportation.
- VU4 Site Preparation: Final site selection and power grid verification for December.
The Main Activation
The full international team activation and concurrent 49th SEANET Convention. Highlights:
- Mega DXpedition: Multi-station operation across all bands/modes.
- Youth Empowerment: On-site training for selected Indian youth operators.
- Global Fellowship: Integration with the SEANET Convention activities.
Why we need Andaman Islands?
The Andaman & Nicobar Islands (VU4) is consistently ranked among the most wanted entities globally. The demand is exceptionally high in North America and on the low bands, making this activation a top priority for the DX community.

Youth Incentive Program
In line with our mission to empower the next generation, DX India Foundation is offering a special opportunity for young Indian hams.
- Eligibility: Age 19 to 25
- Requirement: Valid Amateur Radio Callsign
- Selection Pathway: Top performers in the SEANET Contest 2026 (Sept 12-13) will get priority selection for the VU4 team.
- Focus: Hands-on experience in DXpedition operations
